Every time give a new Email Id to Your Friends

Only for Gmail

Now Friends the very first Trick Of Gmail that I Love the most. So, it goes like this, say i have a email id vacdigital@gmail.com

If my Friends wants to send a mail then they will send it at this email address. Now, Let there be two friends of mine, there may be many. Rahul,Sreehari
If i want to give my friends a unique email id like.......
For Rahul it could be "vacdigital+Rahul@gmail.com"
For Sreehari it could be "vacdigital+Sreehari@gmail.com"

So, its simple you could add anything after the initial mail by adding a "+" sign. As all these Email Addresses vacdigital+Rahul@gmail.com, vacdigital+Sreehari@gmail.com are the same as vacdigital@gmail.com

If you have a girlfriend/Boyfriend then impress her/him that how much you love
her/him by showing her/his name in ur mail id.

Note: This only works when you are sending mails, Not for logging into your
account.

Njoy.....

Agloco: Get Paid to Surf

When I first heard of Agloco (aff), I considered it as a flop pyramid scam, but I was wrong. Agloco turned out to be immensely popular among everybody. I’m not in a position to comment over Agloco because their viewbar isn’t available yet, but I’m a member of Agloco and I’ll try to invite my friends into it (hoping that I’ll generate some revenues). Sadly spammers have been trying to take Agloco to the masses by spamming innocent members of forums, discussion groups and other social networks.

It’s OK to invite your friends and family, It’s OK to use your blog to introduce Agloco to your readers, but going off the track and spamming random members of social networks (like MyBlogLog and Orkut) is surely wrong. Spammers have created new profiles by the name ‘agloco’, just for the sake of spamming. If you want to introduce someone to Agloco, why hide?

I don’t think Agloco is a scam in itself. It will be interesting to see how much revenue we can generate by actually browsing with their viewbar installed. We being small timers, it might be hard for us to generate revenue out of Agloco.

Have you been a victim to such spam? Share your experience.

HD the way to go

If u think 108 inch HDTV is big.....then think again. Technovision has come out with a colossal 205 inch Luxion LCD HDTV.
Technovision is an Italian company that specializes in outdoor displays, which is probably why no one really heard about them till now. The ginormous HDTV, however is made for internal display.

I doubt this TV (or brand) will be entering our shores anytime soon. Besides, looking at the size of our houses, you'll probably have to move out a family member to fit this momma in.

so start clearing ur walls.....

Google Talk: Tips and Tricks

Google Talk has been my primary instant messenger for quite a while now. Here’s a short list of productive Google Talk shortcuts which frequently come to use:

1. Google Talk hides itself in your tray or taskbar, use Windows + Esc to open it.
2. While talking to two or more buddies simultaneously, use Ctrl + Tab to switch chat windows instantly .
3. Use the F11 key to start voice call with your buddy.
4. Use the F12 key to end the voice call.

Easter Egg: You can send a blank message to your buddy without an text. Simple hold the Alt key and press “0173”, followed by the return key [Enter]. You’ll just see a bubble conversation, nothing else!

Recording Voice Calls: In order to record voice call, we use Solicall. Basically, it’s a noise reduction application for online conversation, but it acts as a middle man in taping voice calls. It not only works with Google Talk, but it also works with other IMs like Yahoo, MSN and Skype. Refer this page for more detail on configuring Solicall for Google Talk.
happy talking.....

Apple's iPhone

Yay!, After years of anticipation and rumors, Apple finally made the big announcement on iPhone at Macworld. Here’s a brief list of features:

  • 11.6 mm (thickness)
  • 3.5 in. (width)
  • Runs Mac OS X (access to Safari Web browser)
  • Touchscreen display with multi-touch support
  • 2 Megapixel camera
  • 8 GB storage
  • Bluetooth with EDR and also WiFi
  • Quadband GSM radio with EDGE
  • EDGE or WiFi, the phone switches to WiFi when detected
  • Google Maps: Satellite directions, traffic monitoring, and normal
    maps.
  • Random access voicemail
  • Widgets: Weather and stocks
  • Photo album lets you scroll through images with your finger and you
    pan zoom in/out by “squeezing” or “pinching” the screen with two fingers.
  • The orientation of the screen (landscape or portrait) will
    automatically rotate based upon the orientation of the device itself.

According to Apple, iPhone’s battery holds 5 hours of Video or Talk,
16 hours or music. iPhone is available in 4GB and 8GB variants and costs $499
and $599 respectively.

Looks like Apple has squeezed everything into iPhone, I was shocked to read that it runs OS X and has a iChat like SMS application with onscreen keyboard. I was expecting a 3.2 Megapixel camera on iPhone, but 2 Megapixel seems to be a standard thesedays. iPhone users would probable carry an iPod, because 8GB is quite low when compare to high end iPods.

Now the bad news is that iPhone won’t start shipping until June 2007. European stores will get iPhone somewhere around fourth quarter 2007, It will reach Asia by 2008. Damn!, I’ll have to wait for a year.

keep talking....

Google Phone

Mobileburn forum revealed some details over Google Phone. Google has apparently tied up with Samsung to design Google Phone. This information was leaked by someone participating in the paid survey program by Google; he has uploaded a screenshot of the survey page at Flickr. The screenshot looks somewhat valid, but still the story might not be trustworthy. However, the spec seems to be quite reasonable with 3G, Wi-Fi, 2 megapixel camera and a QUERTY Keyboard.
The phone looks like a typical Samsung Design. This may or may-not be the final design (do you remember? Same happened before iPhone was released). If Google comes up with something like this, Apple will undoubtedly get a market rival. I bet the guy who leaked the screenshot will be fired from the paid survey program.

Cellphone of the Future: Nokia 888

Nokia 888 claims to be the cellphone of the future. The device is so compact and ultra portable that you could bend it, mould it to any shape, you can even strap it like a wrist watch.

This new concept was designed for Nokia Benelux Design Awards by Tamer Nakisci. It runs on Liquid Batteries, Flexible Touch Screen and Speech Recognition technology. It can sense your touch and teach itself (artificial Intelligence). Best of all, it lets you send your form (shape) to other 888 users (Mould it in a shape of the heart and send to your girl friend ;) ).

This phone has only appeared on the drawing board till now, so it might take few more years before its available to consumers. It actually reminds me the famous James Bond Movie, where Agent 007 carries all such Gizmo Gadgets.

hav fun.....

Photoshop goes Online

Photoshop is undoubtedly the best image editing tool for both Windows and Mac, but it comes with a heavy price tag of 649$. If the reports from CNet are correct, things might change within the next six months. Adobe is planning to launch a free online, ad-supported version of the popular Adobe Photoshop. This hosted version of Photoshop works using the recently developed Adobe Flex platform (the same thing which powers Photobucket’s online Video editor).

Virtually everything is moving online thesedays. If Adobe doesn’t do this now, somebody else will do it. It’s just the matter of time. As an example, we’ve seen Google do this to Microsoft Office. The hosted version of Photoshop isn’t a bad idea at all. Infact, it might encourage users who use the pirated copy of Photoshop to turn towards the web based version.

Would you prefer using an ad-supported, hosted version of Photoshop or pay 649$ and buy it? I’m quite sure that if you run a poll on this question, ad-support hosted version will win with a clear margin.

Free Mobile Calls using Fring

Fring is a life saving mobile application which allows us to make free calls, send messages to other Fring user and PC-based VoIP services such as Skype and Google Talk. Fring doesn’t cost any airtime because it’s patented P2P Mobile VoIP technology sends voice calls over GPRS, 3G or Wi-Fi. It can also make landline calls using your SkypeOut credits.

You can call anybody on your Skype, Google Talk contact list for free, they
can call you as well. Isn’t it a life saver?

I’ve tried Fring from both the ends, voice quality is fairly good, but the voice gets choppy inside buildings or basements (I guess, that’s quite natural). To get Fring, go to their download page and fill-in some details, you’ll get a text containing the download link. As of now, Fring supports only Nokia handsets including N70, N72, N80, N80i, N90, 6630, 6680, 6681, 6682.

Imified – Add More Productivity to IM

Imified, a new service which lets you control web like Google Calendar, Blogger, Wordpress, Typepad, Backpack,30Boxes, RemembertheMilk and MovableType from your IM client. Additionally, they have their own productive tools like notes, reminders, and todo’s to get things done faster. Works for Yahoo, Google Talk, MSN and AOL.

No signup procedure involved, you just need to add “Imified” as buddy on your IM and send a message. Now, the bot will reply with the instructions. There are plenty of reasons to use Imified. For instance, you need to post a reminder without using the browser or write a quick blog entry from your mobile. IM bots are not something new, but adding productive functionalities and control web applications through it is a real vantage point.

Free Unlimited Music Storage

The online music storage and streaming site - MP3tunes has now dropped its yearly fee for Oboe digital music locker
service which offered unlimited storage space and high quality audio streaming across the web. The whole idea is to “give people access to their own music everywhere — not just a closed device or PC”.

A paid subscription of Oboe is available for $39.95 per year. While the free service offers unlimited storage and high-quality streaming, the premium version support large music file upto 50MB in size and streams music to web-enabled device.

You can synchronize your music library with online Oboe Locker using a free utility called Oboe Sync. Mp3tunes plan to cover their bandwidth bills and other hosting expenses through advertising. RIAA probably can’t sue MP3Tunes because users do all the uploading and they are just storage medium.

Hidden Windows XP Soundtrack

Windows XP has a hidden sound track which plays as background music during Windows XP installation process, but most people can’t hear this music because they have a soundcard that won’t have drivers preinstalled on XP. Here’s a way to uncover it:

Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\oobe\images, go to Tools > Folder Options > View, check Show Hidden Files and Folders options and then uncheck Hide Protected Operating System Files. You will now notice a file called title.wma, that’s the hidden sound track!!

Easier alternative is to search for title.wma, but remember to include hidden files.

Lock Your Folders and Drives using Registry Tweaks

There are plenty of software which locks drives and folder to protect your confidential data. Why waste money on such tools when you can do it with a simple registry tweak? Here’s how:

Caution: Before you attempt these tweaks, please make sure that you
have a backup of your registry, just incase something goes wrong in the middle.

Locking Folders:

  • Consider you want to lock a folder named XXXX
    in your E:\, whose path is E:\XXXX.

  • Now open the Notepad and type the following

ren xxxx xxxx.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}

  • Where xxxx is your folder name. Save the text
    file as loc.bat in the same drive.

  • Open another new notepad text file and type the
    following
ren xxxx.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} xxxx
  • Save the text file as key.bat in the
    same drive.

Steps to lock the folder:

  • To lock the xxxx folder, simply
    click the loc.bat and it will transform into control panel
    icon which is inaccessible.
  • To unlock the folder click the key.bat
    file. Thus the folder will be unlocked and the contents are accessible.

Locking Drives:

We don’t usually prefer to lock our drives, but sometimes it becomes
nesscary. Say for instance you might have stored your office documents in D:\
and you don’t want your kids to access it, in such case this technique can be
useful for you. Please don’t try this tweak with your root drive (usually C:\ is
the root drive) since root drives are not intended to be locked because they are
mandatory for the system and application programs.

  • Start & Run and type
    Regedit to open Registry editor
  • Browse
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer

    Create a new DWORD value
    NoViewOnDrive
    and set its value as 2^ (Alpha Number of Drive Letter-1) where Alpha
    number are simple counting of alphabets from A to Z as 1 - 26

For example: to lock C:\, Alpha number of C is 3 so 2^ (3-1) = 4
(decimal value)

  • To lock more drives, calculate the value of each drive and then set sum of those numbers as value
  • To unlock your drive just delete the key from the registry.

keep ur stuff locked.....

Nokia puts YouTube On-the-Go

Nokia plans to enhance mobile entertainment by bring YouTube videos
into Nokia’s NSeries multimedia handsets. The company recently reached into an
agreement with Google to do the same. YouTube will broadcast videos in AVC video
format on their upcoming mobile video site; these videos will be viewable
through Nokia’s web browser, like we see them on our computer’s browser.

YouTube Cofounder - Steven Chen said “We are thrilled to be giving
users easy access to entertaining YouTube videos anytime and anywhere. By
partnering with an industry leader like Nokia, we’re able to bring YouTube
videos to mobile phone users worldwide”

Nokia has also built an application called “Nokia Video Center” to
consume YouTube’s Video RSS feeds. Nokia Video Center will come pre-installed in
the Nokia N95 handset, followed by other handsets in the series. Nokia will also
provide a downloadable version of the application for compatible S60 devices.

YouTube’s mobile site supports progressive downloading, so that you
could enjoy the video instantly, even when the download is still in progress.
Njoy ur videos...

Sending Mass Scraps in Orkut

Sending mass scraps on Orkut can be a tedious job, especially if you

How to Install the Script:

Assuming that you have already installed
Firefox and Greasemonkey, click here and you’ll see popup, now click on install and the script is installed. Now go to this page to send mass scraps.

This is a great script to send mass greetings to all your friends at
once, but let’s just keep hoping that spammers won’t misuse it.

Lock ur PC using NET User

An anonymous reader’s son plays games on his computer all day,
neglecting his studies. He wants to impose some restriction on his son’s PC
usage, so that he could concentrate more in his studies.

Well, there are lots of paid software available, but I hardly know any
freeware which can restrict access to your PC. Inorder to effectively restrict
access to your PC for based on timings; you can make use of NET USER command
with the following syntax

net user username /times:{day[-day][,day[-day]]
,time[-time][,time[-time]]
[;…] all}

Some Examples:

  • net user john /time:M-F,08:00-17:00
  • net user john /time:M-F,8am-5pm
  • net user john /time:M,4am-5pm;T,1pm-3pm;W-F,8:00-17:00
  • net user john/time:all (this allows user to logon at any time,
    on any day)

How to?

  1. Go to command prompt from Start > Run and type “cmd” (without
    quotes)
  2. Type any one of the appropriate net user command to restrict the
    user
  3. Type “exit” (without quotes)

Note: The time is limited to one hour increment,
which means you can only restrict the user by one-one hour (like 13:00, 16:00,
not 13:30 or 16:45). You can use the abbreviation for the day (that is,
M,T,W,Th,F,Sa,Su)

So keep focused
John.

Successor of Vista: Vienna

Close Microsoft followers must already be aware of Vienna, the next successor to Windows Vista. Reports from PCWorld suggest that Vienna might be due by 2009 (yeah, that’s just two years from now). Actually, Vista was expected to release by 2003, but that didn’t happen. In the mean time, Microsoft was forced to put more work on developing Windows XP SP2 rather than giving time to Vista. Finally, Vista ended up losing features like WinFS, native HD DVD and FireWire-B support, enhanced
speech recognition and PC-to-PC sync. Along with those lost features, Vienna is also rumored to include a brand new file system and a new user interface which eliminates start menu and toolbars. It’s also said that Vienna will break backward compatibility with existing programs and some sort of emulation to run older programs. In my
opinion, the probability of Vienna coming out by 2009 is very low. If it is really true, then upgrading to Vista doesn’t make any sense to me.

love

Create Shortcuts for Folders

When I’m in windows, I use a feature that’s largely overlooked, that
is to use keyboard shortcuts for folder shortcuts. I’m a bit of a productivity
freak. Say I want to enjoy some music. Either I can navigate to c:\music\mp3 or
I just press Ctrl+Shift+M.  I do this by making a shortcut to a folder and in
the properties, there’s an option for a shortcut key. Set a shortcut key for all
your common folders and that’s it you’re done.

Step-by-Step Explanation:

  1. Select the folder in Windows Explorer.

  2. Create a shortcut, and place it on the desktop. (You create a
    shortcut by opening the folder, pointing to New on the File menu, then
    clicking Shortcut. Drag the shortcut to your desktop.)

  3. Right–click the new shortcut, and then click Properties.

  4. In the Properties dialog box, click the Shortcut tab, and in the
    Shortcut key box, enter a Control key combination or a Control–Shift key
    combination, (that is, CTRL+ALT+M or CTRL+SHIFT+M when M is for music), and
    then click OK.

Accessing my documents, etc are a breeze now. Better yet, make a
shortcuts folder on your desktop, and when you have to open a file through a
dialog, open that folder and go to your most accessed directories quickly.

width: 250px;
float: right;
word-wrap: break-word; /* fix for long text
breaking sidebar float in IE */

}

#newsidebar-wrapper {
width: 170px;
float: left;
word-wrap: break-word; /* fix for long text
breaking sidebar float in IE */

}

The Outer wrapper contains the main wrapper and the two sidebar wrappers. Their
dimensions are described by the width parameter. Their positions are described
by the float parameter. Notice that the outer wrapper does not have a float
parameter. This is because its position in the center of the page is described
by the "margin 0 auto" parameter. To change the width of any of the main or
sidebar column change their width parameters only. Then change the width of the
outer wrapper by the same amount because it has to expand to include the new
width.
IMPORTANT :
CHANGE ONLY ONE PARAMETER AT A TIME.........AND
HIT THE PREVIEW BUTTON (at the bottom of the box) TO SEE THE
EFFECT........BEFORE SAVING TEMPLATE.

IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT RELOAD OLD BACKED UP TEMPLATE AT ANY TIME.

You will have reason to increase the width of your blog when you find your main
column of posts below the sidebar or the sidebar below the posts column. This
happens when a large photograph or a large link is added in the posts column.
This prevents the sidebar from rising up to take its normal place besides the
posts column. Increasing the width of the outer-wrapper then accomodates the
sidebar.

To change the width of the HEADER scroll down in Edit Template text box till you
come to :
/* Header----------------------------------------------*/

#header-wrapper {
width:750px;
margin:0 auto 10px;
border:0px solid $bordercolor;
}

then change 750 to whatever width you want it to be.........
have fun

How to Submit Site to Google

After completing your blog and postings you have to submit
your blog to the major Search Engines. This is because there
are millions of sites out there on the world wide web and the
search bots/spiders will not come to your site/blog unless you
inform them that a site has been constructed and needs
viewers.

There are millions of sites on the web and viewers nowadays
have to rely on the search engines to inform them of the best
site for the subject they are looking for. Unless you submit
your site to the search engines they will never come to know
of your site/blog.

After submission the search
engines send their spiders to crawl over and index your site
and putit in their cache. These 'spiders' are automated
programs which periodically visit your site to see if you have
made any changes to it.

One advantage of hosting your site on the Blogger platform is
that Google's spiders periodically visit your site. To add
your site to Google head over to :
http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps

and sign in with your Google Account. Copy and paste the URL
of your site/blog into the text box at the top for "Add Site"
and click OK. Google adds the site and the next page opens on
which click "Verify your Site". On the next page clickdown
arrow besides "Choose Verification Method". Here select " Add
a Meta Tag" and a metatag is generated for you. Copy and paste
this metatag into your template just below the
<title> </title>
tags. Save the template. Also add this Metatag :

<meta name="robots"
content="INDEX, FOLLOW">

This is so that when Googlebot visits your page it will index
it and follow all the links within it.

Now Go back to Google Sitemaps page and click on Verify
button. Now click on "My Sites" link at the very top of the
page under "Google Webmaster Tools". A page opens up to show a
list of all the sites you have submitted to Google. Click on
"Add a Sitemap" on the same line as your blog/site. The 'Add
Sitemap' Page opens up and click down arrow next to "Choose
Type" and select "Add General Web Sitemap". In the third line
text box under 'My Sitemap url is' paste the feed url of your
blog which is :

http://MYBLOGNAME.blogspot.com/rss.xml

Instead of 'MYBLOGNAME' type in name of your blog. Click on
Add Web Sitemap Button.
This completes the process of adding the sitemap of your blog
to Google. There is no need to upload any sitemap file to
blogger or to your blog.
If you only want to add your site to Google without adding a
Sitemap go to :
http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl

Hav fun indexing....

Wimax: The Wireless Broadband

    Wireless networking is the future and the future has arrived in India. No i'm not talking about airtel launching their 3G network,I'm talking about Wimax. Wimax is wireless network that keeps u connected wherever you go and what ever you do. All you need to do is buy a Wimax card that goes into the PCMCI slot of your laptop, configure your network and bingo you are connected at 70Mbps. Yes 70 Mbps; I didnot get my mathematics wrong. Wimax in theory can provide this speed and we can definitely expect atleast 15 to 20 Mbps.

    The trick is pretty simple. We'll have wimax towers set up across our country and as long as you are within the range of any of these towers, just like a 3G network except for the fact that it is much much faster and a lot cheaper.For the time being only Delhi has this feature.Hope it will spread to our beautiful Cochin in a few years.

Keep Connected
John.
